Framed Art Dot Com – Review

Review
When the good folks over at Framed Art reached out to me I was more then happy to review one of their products. Especially since my new farm house was so much bigger then my last place and I needed cool things to put up on the walls. I picked out a framed Mickey mouse art print with a single mat and a solid  black contemporary frame with an inner edge accent. The print I chose is called Mickey's Hobby Horse. In searching for a horse related print I found there were a plenty of options to chose from though being a girl who likes vintage I would have liked a few more vintage advertising options with horses, though their regular horse options were plentiful. From modern to classic art…

Horze Reflex Stirrups – Review

Review
[caption id="attachment_1581" align="alignleft" width="225"] Awesome![/caption] When the good folks over at Horze contacted me to review their products I was thrilled! I also had two sound horses who were going really well. Yippy! By the time the products arrived I had two horses out of work. One with ulcers and one with still unidentified issues (come on Cornell give me my test results!) That made reviewing products quite the challenge. Luckily one was Horze No Turn Bell Boots. So I was able to use that product and put that review up but was forced to wait out the review for the Horze Reflex Stirrups as no horse was ridable enough to have a use for stirrups. Eventually Miss Jez got back into work but I'm only sorta riding her and…

I love reviewing stuff. When the items showed up i was rearing to get to reviewing! They sent a couple different things and i will be giving my thoughts on them in separate posts (still need to test out the second item) Though the items were provided, I always tell it like a see it. It's how I roll. First up is the Horze No Turn Bell Boots. I really, really, needed bell boots because the Redhead just got shoes. I've had her barefoot for almost a year and always knew at some point shoes were in the…

Fulcrum Gallery – Review

Review
[caption id="attachment_1298" align="alignleft" width="275"] Thats the print right behind the smart paks![/caption] When the nice folks over at Fulcrum Gallery approached me about reviewing one of their products I was pretty excited about the prospect, cuz yanno I went to fancy art school and I happen to love art. I did however have to think on it a bit, how exactly would this fit in with a blog about horses? Then it hit me... I needed tack room art! Yeah, thats right art for the new tack room. It a a big space and the walls were art free. I could change that with a little help from the folks at Fulcrum.  After talking to their rep, I started with a search on "horses" and ended up after a little…

Review
[caption id="attachment_1228" align="alignleft" width="300"] The Viper In Zebra![/caption] When the good folks over a Noble Outfitters approached me about reviewing one of the their products i couldn't have been more thrilled as i secretly had been spying their site and products for a while. They have a nice line of equestrian clothes, bags, footwear and accessories. After looking over the catalog of items I decided I wanted to give one of their barn knives a go and put it though its barn knife paces. Having just moved to self care for my two OTTB mares I am finding theres a lot of little things I need to make my every day care possible and a barn knife is definitely one of those things. The Viper was selected and I was…

Cavalero Exercise Sheet by Moxie – Review

Review
Since this is the first year i don't have an indoor and its been the coldest winter on record for my area in 20 years, so i decided to get the ponies some quarter sheets for those really cold days. Im trying not to miss any riding days just because any one of us might be cold. I loved the colors of the Cavalero Exercise Sheet by Moxie so i splurged and by that i mean i bought it on sale, because i buy almost everything on sale. Its a sickness. I got the large which was rated to fit my 16+ hand OTTBs. Boredeaux and gray for Jezebel and i wanted the navy and camel for Circe but i couldn't find it in her size. So the girls were just…

Roeckl Winter Chester Glove – Review

Review
I always ride with gloves. Hot or cold it doesn't matter. Since i broke my hand though last spring i've been investing in better gloves. I used to just by anything on sale see how i felt about it but once the hand snaps you start to realize that maybe investing in something better is a good idea. This winter i bought a pair of Roeckl Winter Chester gloves. I needed a pair to ride in the cold having no indoor to ride in this year. I also wanted gloves not just help me with warmth but that would give my hands some protection. I bought these from Dover in VA because i needed to try on everything to see what would fit. I know my glove size but manufacturers…

Mustang MIllionaire – Review

Review
I couldn't sleep the other night and i was flipping TV channels and i came across the Millionaire Mustang. They were playing a bunch of episodes in a row so i got sucked in to watch it. The premise is this, a handful of "cowboy" trainers buy wild mustangs from BLM and have 120 days to train them. Then they go to the big show where they have a few days of prelims. They do basic horsemanship, reining, trail trials and the top 20 go on to do a 3 and a half minute "freestyle" where they show off the horses skills. Last year this was won by a guy who did stunts with his mustang. So I'm watching and they are buying their mustangs at auction. So far so…
