[caption id="attachment_1492" align="alignleft" width="200"] Heading out to the X country course[/caption] I went to the horse trials at Wardaca. These are rated trails and it was a lot of fun. Wardaca is where my better half first started taking lessons. They have a lot of land including a big cross country course. In fact they do cross country schooling there. One of the Jr riders at my barn was going to be moving up to training level on Sunday and i went down to cheer her on and to take a few snaps. She was riding Brilliant Truth a sassy  red-headed mare who is known around the farm as Baby. In the Equiery

The Equiery is the local horse paper in MD (and some parts of PA and VA) but its Maryland based. If you are looking for horse support services like boarding, hay, training or ring building its the go to place. They also keep you up to date on local horse laws and zoning changes. Its a really good resource and the paper is free at tack stores and feed stores around MD. Their actual offices are just a couple miles from where the ponies are kept. Shooting at the MOHS

[caption id="attachment_1377" align="alignleft" width="300"] Lookin' for the next jump[/caption] I went to the Maryland Open Horse Show. Not to ride but to cheer on E and her pony Austin. E also works with Michelle and since Michelle had to be out of town i was the stand in. I also went to shoot the show and pass out some of my cards (always hustling yo). I wasn't the official photographer they had one of those but i tried to get a good sampling of the riders. Its a nice little schooling show and i'm familiar with the ring so I know the good angles. E did great and came home in the ribbons. Though experience was the goal, the ribbons will help boost her confidence. I was really impressed with…
