The better half needed a new helmet my Troxel which he had been riding in was not working anymore for him and my Tipperary didn't fit quite right so we went to Dover at 10am mind you and spent all the money. He got a One K (its pretty awesome) Then a mad dash to get to the barn by noon and meet up with Tina and Sammy. Tina is still thinking about selling Wasabi and i thought hooking her up with Sammy to this end was a good idea. So varoom the the barn we raced and Michelle was already riding Jez in the upper ring. Barn tales, Life with Circe, Life with Jezebel
[caption id="attachment_1048" align="alignleft" width="300"] Imma bite your foot![/caption] I've been riding Circe a bit as Jez is off because of her hind gut ulcers. Circe's been a good girl and even though were just hacking around and not seriously working shes doing a good job listening to me and not trying to evade contact too much. Its been fun the few days of weather warm enough to ride. I bought her a new girth with sheepskin that matches my saddle and i think she really liked it. Jezebel is on her supplements to re-balance her hind gut and hopefully get rid of those ulcers. I bought the 300 bucks worth of stuff and made up my own zip lock packets for her to be fed two times a day. I…

Trail ride adventure: The Wasabi edition

[caption id="attachment_583" align="alignleft" width="300"] On the trail...[/caption] My barn friend Tina who is a great rider has a 9 year old  OTTB named Wasabi who is super built and pretty cool. Sabs has competed at novice level and i was told will jump amazing heights (she once jumped over the gate the the barn much to the farm owners dismay) Tina and i have walked the bridle path together with our horses and even got into the woods (with Tina on Jez and me on Circe) Since the last time Jez went out she was a rock-star we decided to give it a go.
